snow day!

Haven't had one of these in almost 5 years! It feels good to do NOTHING (expect homework and cleaning) all day long. Here is a pic of L from a recent birthday party- doesn't that just make you smile? Gosh I love him so much!

Its been busy since my last post. We have had 2 sick kids off and on for about two weeks. I think that they just keep giving it back and forth to each other and now, guess what? I caught the bug! Yesterday had a short work day and then prepared for the winter storm that was to be here sometime during the night. Its suppose to snow all day today and then tomorrow there will be HIGH winds with blizzard like conditions. Oh how I hate winter, except that we get to wear sweaters and jeans!

mondays

come way too fast. It feels like this long weekend just flew by and now we're on to another busy week. I worked today from 12-3:30 which wasn't bad and the kids were pretty awesome as well. I'm starting to get an ear infection so I didn't feel like making dinner so breakfast it was! We watched One Tree Hill then put the kiddos to bed and I followed shortly after. Not a very interesting day lol.

I wonder what tomorrow will bring. . .

I am horrible at keeping this thing updated! Just too many things to do in the day and not enough hours. 

Had a very busy week- my aunt from Seattle was here so spent lots of time with her catching up and had family in for Thanksgiving. What made it even worse was that BOTH of the kids were sick.  But overall had a good holiday weekend!

1. putting away the massive piles of laundry that are scattered about my house

2. working on my History homework- been procrastinating for wayyyy too long

3. sweep and mop the floors

4. take a nap and watch a movie

5. hit my FAVORITE consignment shop for (hopefully) some new goodies

and hopefully I will have the time to get out my sewing machine and FINALLY learn how to use it.

Busy day today- Been up since dawn making brownie's for L's Grandparents Night program at preschool and doing laundry (my least favorite). Just about time for lunch and some naps.

Just thought I would share a pic with you of my vintage Daisy Duck coffee mug my grandma gave me. Isn't it cute?!?! It was nice to get that extra hour of sleep last night and even better to wake up to a beautiful morning. Well now its off to making the kiddos some breakfast and off to church with my grandparents. when it rains; it pours

this phrase seems to define my family's lives right now. it seems that when one thing goes wrong or not the way we were hoping, everything else soon follows suit. ugh its exhausting. i just wish things would change.

I had work for only 4 hours this afternoon at the preschool and it was pretty good. Had kids out sick again so the class sizes have been fairly small. 

Came home with a horrible headache and that nauseous feeling- I hope I'm not the next one getting sick- that would suck. 

really bad at this.

by this- i mean keeping up this blog. its not that i dont want to; its just that we get busy and overwhelmed by the hussle and bussle of everyday. i really need to make more of an effort.

I got offered a job at the preschool that Landon will be attending as a teacher's aide. Its only partime (Mon afternoons and Tues & Thurs all day) which isn't bad. Landon will be going to school on Tues & Thurs mornings. Hopefully he likes having other kids to play with inside of mom and dad all the time.

I also decided to go back to school, so those classes start on Monday as well. Ugh, next week is going to suck. And I definitely feel a couple of late nights coming my way.

it has got to be one of the most spontaneous things i have ever done; and i love it.

still have not decided on names for them either. any ideas?

its pouring outside: perfect day to finish laundry and cleaning, and to lounge around in my pjs all day, even though i have a TON of errands to run.

landon turns 3 in 16 days..its amazing how fast time flies...so cherish EVERY moment with them.

being suburnt

sucks.

these past days have been hell on earth. with the heat index it has been between 105-108 degrees here for the past 4 days. when will it stop? don't get me wrong- i would much rather have extreme heat than tons of snow, but seriously? are we being punished? we've been cooling off with daily trips to the local beach since they don't charge me to take my lil ones swimming.

had lots of company the past couple of weeks. an update will follow soon!

late nights.

i have NEVER really been a night owl; i enjoy my sleep and LOTS of it :) but lately i have had the hardest time falling asleep at my usual bedtime. i don't know what it is but its getting really frustrating. probably doesn't help that j. isn't here since his new hobby is night fishing and i hate sleeping alone. . .

i got a ton of things accomplished today; i was pretty proud of myself too.

- i finished painting grace's dresser; but was bummed when i found out that they didn't make the 

  same size of handles anymore so i have to fill the holes and drill new ones...grrr

- vacuumed EVERY room in the house; plus moved the furniture and vacuumed under it

- cleaned the kitchen- could not see the counters at all!

- applied at a community college; was thinking about going to school in the fall but not for sure 

   yet

ugh..i wish i was tired right now...

why

did wes not get kicked off the bachelorette tonight.

hopefully jillian sees that he's just there to get publicity and really isn't there for her before its too late.

she is such a sweet girl. . .at least my two favs made it another week :)
